Style Diary: Chanequa Margaret

Share

Hi guys, my name is Chanequa Margaret. I’m 20 years old and live in the Netherlands.

I’ve been natural ever since I was a baby. My mom always took care of my hair until I was old enough to do it myself. Over the years my hair structure has changed a lot. My hair is now very wide and big but when I was younger it was totally different. On one hand I like how my hair used to be, on the other hand it’s fun to see how your hair changes while growing up.

With all these social media websites, a new world has opened for me. I was never really that into my hair but now I pay more attention to it. Last summer, I made the drastic decision to dye it red and I’m looking forward to do something crazy again this summer. I love curls! I love how they look different on every person and the fact that they come in all different shapes and sizes!

Online you can basically find me anywhere under my name: Chanequa Margaret. But I have to admit that I’m an insta-addict, so that’s where you’ll find me most. My Instagram is: @Chanequa. I also have a website, www.chanequa.com that I use for business.

http://geminicurls.blogspot.com @GemiNiquaCurls Please leave your thoughts on the deep conditioning topic. I’d like to know how other naturals feel about it. There are so many different opinions on this topic I’m left wondering if there’s one right one, or if – like just about everything hair related – it varies from head to head. Maybe for some people deep conditioning is an absolute must. Maybe for other people, it does nothing for their hair. What do you think?
