“Dream big, or not at all.” Words to live by from Dr. Nina Ellis-Hervey. As an inspiration to many women across the world, that quote is her daily mantra and it shows in her many talents.
While in the line at the grocery store, you probably flip through the magazines on the racks, right? Do you expect to see people you know on the pages? Well, I sure don’t! But that’s just what happened as I picked up a Hype Hair magazine and saw Dr. Nina Ellis-Hervey inside. Nina is turning her brand into a household name for women on a weight-loss journey and especially to women of color who are into learning more about healthy hair. I first met Nina through a mutual friend during our college years. Little did I know Nina would be the businesswoman she is today!
Since her college days, Nina has not only built up her Youtube page to over 50k followers and over 4,000,000 total uploaded views, but she’s showing women that you can have your cake and eat it too! While earning the title of one of the top five “Youtube Natural Hair Care Vloggers” by Huffington Post this past summer and making and selling her hair products, she’s been busy adding to her educational experiences. After attending Truman State, she went on to earn her Master’s degree in Educational Psychology and she recently completed her Doctoral degree in School Psychology with a focus in Autism. She’s currently a professor at a university in Texas. All these credentials, and she’s under 30 years old!
Nina strives to be the next Oprah. Her website holds information regarding natural hair care, fitness, empowerment, encouragement, fashion, relationships, and motivation. Through forums and conferences, she’s been a keynote speaker on these topics across the globe. Among continued success educationally and with her brand, Nina plans to release a fitness DVD this fall. Whether you strive to learn more about furthering your education, adjusting your fitness goals, or growing healthier hair, Dr. Nina Ellis-Hervey is the one who can help you find the answers.
