Thank you to those who noticed I took a hiatus from blogging. I mentioned it in my last few blog posts from August. Many are still rockin’ with me on Facebook, The Twittah, and Instagram – all of which I regularly update.

Though I’m not ready to come back – because there’s something about blogging that doesn’t feel right when there are major issues demanding my attention in my city – I wanted to at least check in amidst this big weekend! IMG_4825.PNG
Organization is a beautiful thing and I’m so proud of my city right now! For anyone in #stl this weekend for #fergusonoctober your support is appreciated! This is something our grandchildren will talk about and we have to be the ones giving this the narrative it deserves. Social media is televising the real revolution and all races are coming together because #blacklivesmatter.

For months now the protests have been filled with young and old, side by side, in demand of justice and a better treatment for men of color. It’s not a one weekend thing, people been at it for months…we ask that as you head home after #FergusonOctober, continue to fight the powers that be and spread the good word about the positive energy felt and connections made.

We cannot sit back and let mainstream media spin things around in the wrong direction nor can we pretend this increase in wrongful deaths doesn’t affect us. That’s why it is so important to get yourself a wrongful death lawyer if you have been subjected to something like this.

Holla at me if you see me this weekend! #teamnosleep
